As part of its 30th Anniversary celebrations, the Methodist Missions Society (MMS) is holding an MMS Leaders’ Summit in August 2022 to review and renew MMS's vision and goals.
Theme: “Keep the Fire Burning”
The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not go out. The priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and he shall arrange the burnt offering on it and shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out. Leviticus 6:12-13
The mission scene has changed tremendously since the last review of the MMS Vision and Strategy in 2012. The COVID-19 pandemic has created vast potential in using the internet while severely restraining traditional evangelistic and church outreach efforts particularly in doing face-to-face ministry. Challenges include doing missions differently in the new normal, expanding into new fields, achieving self-sustainability, and engaging churches effectively. Missions is at a crossroad. As part of the MMS 30th Anniversary celebrations, MMS is holding an MMS Leaders’ Summit in August 2022 to review and renew MMS's vision and goals.
Prior to this summit, 3 evenings of prayer will be held fortnightly to seek the Lord’s heart and vision for missions. Join MMS and pray together!
